365 Pod Đonom is a sneaker culture calendar for 2025, created as a university print design assignment with a free theme. Each of the twelve months features an original flat illustration of an iconic sneaker — from Nike Air Max to Puma Disc — paired with a bold typographic layout and a gradient color palette that shifts across the year. The concept celebrates sneaker culture as a genuine design discipline, not just a hobby.
A calendar is one of those formats that’s easy to make functional and hard to make interesting.
The challenge was making something that someone would actually want to hang on their wall — not just a calendar, but a poster series that happens to have dates on it.
I built the calendar around one idea: sneakers as art objects. Each month gets one iconic silhouette treated as a hero illustration, cropped and composed to fill the top half of the page with maximum visual impact.
Each sneaker was drawn in a bold flat illustration style — clean outlines, solid fills, no gradients within the shoe itself. The consistency of the illustration approach is what holds twelve very different colorways and silhouettes together as a series.
Rather than using a fixed palette across all twelve months, each spread uses a background gradient that responds to the sneaker’s own colorway. January gets teal and green for the Puma Disc. The color follows the shoe, making each month feel distinct while the illustration style keeps everything unified.
Bold, condensed type for the month name and year, clean tabular grid for the dates. The typography is confident enough to coexist with a large illustration without competing with it — each element has its own clear zone on the page.

The free theme brief is deceptively hard — total freedom means you have to commit to something specific, or the result feels like nothing in particular. Choosing sneakers meant choosing a subject with genuine visual richness: every silhouette has its own history, its own colorway logic, its own cultural weight. 365 Pod Đonom works because it treats that seriously.
